My transformation experience

Updated: Oct 31, 2020

One thing about me is that I have always been interested in being healthy. I may not always make healthy choices but in general, I think my life will show that I have wanted to be healthy and live long.  With that being said, it should come as no surprise to you when I say that I have tried juicing and cleanses and improving my diet all while working out, at one point even 6 days a week.  I still was a size 26, could barely walk stairs without getting winded and I felt like there was no hope of ever being thin again.

Then one day a lady from church told me how excited she was about this food program she was trying.  I listened with prejudice and thought nothing much about it. I did watch the promo video though because I know about direct sales and network marketing and I wanted to be supportive.  My impression was this: if this was actually all that it said it was, then I didn’t need it. I understood that basically, the program was selling me dehydrated super greens and fruits and that flooding your body with that will allow it to work better.  Well duh. I know everyone in my house has seen Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead.  We ALL watched Joe “Cross” America (pun intended) and just by juicing he lost weight, got healthy, and helped change a lot of people's world. Well, okay I can do that. I don’t need this program.  That’s what I said to myself anyway… except juicing was time-consuming and expensive and I couldn’t keep the kale in my garden safe from the caterpillars. So, I decided to attend one of the in-house presentations. I got to hear a little more from people who had already tried it or were trying it for the first time.  After that, I was pretty much convinced that I needed it in my life, but I didn’t know how to afford everything I wanted, so again I waited.  Once tax returns came, I ordered the package that seemed to offer the most return… you know how there is always a package that gives more than it takes… lol, yeah, that one.

I was able to do the complete 10-day program and have enough food for the next 20 days.   If I knew then, what I know now, I would have done 2 cleanses back to back and then waited the 20 days to see what my body would do.  I mean I had really great results, but I’m jumping ahead…

Well, by day 10 I was ready to fight the system but I also just wanted to eat the box of thin mint Girl Scout cookies that I’d had on stash since day 2. You know those girls are only out there for a couple of days and thin mints sell out on day 1.  So I had box

es on stash… Now, admit it, those 2 little rolls in that box are really enough for 1 sitting, 2 if you are rationing them out but NORMALLY any healthy adult can eat an entire roll of thin mints in one sitting. lol… Well, not me. Not after the cleanse. I just COULD NOT.  In fact, not only could I not, I really lacked the desire after the first 2 cookies. I don’t think I ate any more of that box. I gave the rest to my kids. That was also the last year we bought Girl Scout cookies. We just donate cash instead now.

My first transformation: -14lbs, 6 inches

I lost 14 lbs on that first transformation.  10 days. 14 pounds and 6 inches. I kept the weight off over the next 20 days also. In fact, I continued to lose weight. I would have a shake for breakfast because that is the one meal I just don’t eat usually. I would have the protein once a day because I love what it does to the muscles and I had the cherries at night because they detox and enhance sleep naturally. They call that the Core 3 program now. I lost another 10 pounds.  So I did another cleanse. I lost 12 pounds more. Over 30 pounds in 40 days and this is before I started working out.  Since all of this has taken place, my lifestyle has changed dramatically.  I had energy again and I wanted to tone but couldn’t afford the gym… I began using the TRX and YouTube videos to do at least 15 minutes There was a local paddling club and at a friend's encouragement, I joined.  $100 for the year.  2 – 3, 1hr workouts a week, every week… I couldn’t find anything better if I wanted to. Paddling and continuing to have those core 3 products daily led to even more energy and improved fitness desires so I joined the gym. I mostly go for cardio but lately because I am still living that core 3 life, I have been eyeing those heavyweights and I recently bought a system that guides me through how to use some of those gym weights to get maximum gains in areas I am really focusing on toning quickly. It is all so exciting.  I am really enjoying my life more and I believe it began with how effective the 10 day was.
