It was the last day of February, I was doing my best to blast this blog post out before the month ends; I spoke of consistency and planning last month but it would seem like I forgot all about my big plans to plan. The good news is: I have been living the plan. I think there is a WHOLE lot more to writing down our plans that make them a bit more tangible.
So, how were the past couple of months? Well, to begin with, I admit, I have completely not journaled at all. I am disappointed with myself about that because the journaling is a huge part of my goals and plans for the success of the rest of the year. (Speaking of journaling… it’s interesting that tonight at church someone asked me if I had been and we both agreed how important it is…I take that as a sign I need to be more intentional about it) I also will not beat myself up about it. I think sometimes I forget that I am a wife, mom and active member of my community in different ways and all that really does take grace-filled patience. So, with the arrival of May, I have a whole entire month to try again and get it done. Chee huuu! So far I have been consistent for 2 days and today will make 3!

To make excuses, because I do that too, I recently took a trip to visit a friend and that pretty much consumed my daily existence for a minute. I will share all about that trip on my personal blog at dyahnee.com. I am excited to share that I have been moving more towards a plant-based diet and boy oh boy! I feel the need to stop right here and share two films that I watched that have really changed my ideas about how and what I eat. The first is Cowspiracy and the second is What’s With Wheat. Both these films are on Netflix and are just about 90 minutes long.
I have decided to commit to the revolution of not eating processed foods and meat. I am going to be a mad woman cooking this summer and trying to freeze everything, but I would rather that than have slave every night over a hot stove or continuing to eat the same as before. I have discovered my ability to commit to a plant-based lifestyle and I have practiced some extreme methods to do this but I am also being safe. That is the most important part of experimenting in my opinion, staying healthy enough to share what I learn. It is pretty extreme though, so I don’t recommend following in my footsteps without seeking a medical professionals guidance first. So, what is this extreme thing? I am currently on day 21 of a 40-day water fast. Yes. I want to finish this fast strong with you all so my goal is to get these last 19 days documented. After the 19 days, guess what I have planned? Weight training class. Extreme coming off of a 40 water fast, but with the timing of the classes and the holiday and the day of the fast ending, I actually have some completely down days to recover nicely and ease back into food. I will share how I am going to do all of that and what I am learning in this class. So, why the class? Well, for one, I LOVE education and learning new things and with all this learning about our bodies and how they work and how important what we put into them is, how can I not also learn about the mechanics of the muscles that keep me moving and burn my fat. I really see this as a natural progression and… I do have a special surprise idea I have been kicking about that I might share… I am still thinking about it and I really need to pray on it. So, with all this planned and happening already, I hope you will stick around and subscribe to cheer with me and share with me your experiences. Without further ado… See you in the next post.

🌺My Story... The Journey Continues🌺
D Goosby of JD's Organic Productions is a wife and a mom to 8 beautiful kids including 2 sets of twins. At one point, she weighed close to 300 lbs and then lost half of it just to put most of it back on. D eventually got tired of the yo-yo. She learned some hidden truths about our food system and decided to get educated and make lasting changes. D studied to become a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, and peristeam practitioner because she realized that she was not alone in wanting to make healthy lifestyle changes but lacking the knowledge to make anything permanent.
That is what D does today, she helps busy moms like herself, get back to where they feel good again, they look the way they want to look and they get to be a healthy role model for their families and friends.
