📖 2020 is over right? cause... wtf 2021!

2020 ended and boy oh boy... there was so much excitement and hopeful expectation for all the craziness of the year to be ending and great new things to come in with the new year. Am I right? Were you one of those who felt like with the new year, there would be so many new and good things to come? Then what happened? Within the first 2 weeks of the year, the number of those infected with the pandemic virus began to spike again, the nations' capital was attacked and the news reported that millions of stimulus payments were erroneously deposited in accounts. I mean WTF 2021 right?! Can we just get started with some kind of something to look forward to?

In this video, I share how I decided to take 2021 and create something beautiful despite what was going on around me. Now, don't let me fool you. I struggled with this. Seriously. What I didn't realize is that near the end of the 2020, I began to allow the overwhelm of it all to finally hit me. What about you? Did you get through most of the 2020 chaos on blind willpower and then near the holidays realize the weight of it all and that you hadn't actually slowed down to "feel" it like I did?

My kids were back in school, they were schooling from home, including the college ones, and because I work at a school, I was watching the arrested development of those that were allowed back on campus. My clothes had stopped fitting (again) and I didn't realize it because I rarely had gotten "dressed" during the past 7 months. I'd been inactive for the most part because I was studying online and "upleveling" through certificate achievements and new business opportunities, all behind a computer screen at a desk or table. I felt good and bad. What a crazy mix. Then the year ended and I honestly felt overwhelmed, underachieved and exhausted. I also had to figure out how to pull it together because I am the model for the people I want my kids to become. Being a parent is not just giving birth, providing shelter and food, let me tell you. So... I had to make a decision. 2021 HAD to be a great year. Not like the cliche kind of great year everyone talks about and then nothing happens. This has to be a year to remember... or at least a year where I come so far out of my comfort zone that I don't even recognize myself. No resolutions, decisions. Inspired by one of my most favorite van life YouTubers Jennelle Eliana, I decided to BE happier.

📺 Happy New Year! Stay Focused.
